Influenced by the raised, ridge beds for potato growing and the deep grykes cross-hatching the limestone pavements on the island, we have used a bold linear rib to design a variety of novel styles for our Autumn/Winter 2024 Ridges and Walls Collection. The Ridges Aran Sweater playfully arranges a range of traditional Aran patterns in off-set columns down the body of the sweater, with plain knit sleeves creating a streamline contrast and modern feel. The Ridge Aran Sweater series are of a slightly lighter weight than our signature Cashmere Celebration Aran Sweaters, giving additional loft and breathability. Crafted with super-premium Cashmere and Merino yarn from Italian heritage producer, Filati Biagioli Modesto, made to the highest European environmental standards using only organic dyes.

Available in warm Cream, the ultimately versatile winter colour that gives most definition to the intricate Aran patterns, and Brown Fleck, a rich dark chocolate shade punctuated by bright flecks of red, cream and rust. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.

Care

This garment is made using some of nature's most luxurious natural fibres, Cashmere and Extra Fine Merino Wool. This yarn has a characteristic crimp making it susceptible to pilling over time. To protect against pilling do not wear underneath other woolen layers or velcros and do not over-wash. Hand wash in water no more than 30 degrees using a mild detergent. Lay on a flat surface to dry.
